Closing date set ... I think

Our house is coming along great and should be done the end of next week. The hold up now is the official closing. We keep getting a tentative date, then it gets changed, then changed again. The frustrating part is that  we haven't been getting much communication from the 'closing team'. The word we've been getting is from our homeowners insurance guy! Martin from Allstate has been great at keeping us in the loop, but we are still awaiting official word.

So tentatively - we close in 17 days!  Until then- here are a few pictures from the most recent walk-through!

3 weeks to go...

We are about 3 weeks away from Closing on our home! We are getting very excited and are certainly feeling the crunch of packing, prepping, moving etc.

It is looking like our Move-In marathon day will be March 23rd, so if you are in the area and free.... We'd love the help. Food/Beverage will be provided for all helpers!

Furniture!

We ordered our furniture tonight! I'm so glad to have another thing checked off our massive 'house' list!

Now if only the house would pack itself......

Living room - Modular Sectional Couch
 - we were able to customize the size since it's modular so that it fits perfectly in our great room! It's really neat! Check it out here!

The Fridge is ordered too!  (Thanks to my brother for helping us get a great price!)
 - This matches the rest of the kitchen appliances that came with our S&A Contract package.

Yet Another House Update!

We had another walk through of our house today! They textured the ceilings when we had paid for them to be flat so we had to walk through to decide if we wanted them to sand it down or leave it (and refund our money). They actually looked pretty nice so we decided to keep it, but in the mean time, we got a tour!

The first coat of paint is up, and the vinyl flooring was going in the two bathrooms, kitchen and foyer. The kitchen cabinets, counter tops and sink were in the garage so we got a quick peek (I can't believe I forgot to take a picture!) The gutters are up, and they are waiting on the second set of shutters (they had gotten broken in shipping the first time around) which are back ordered and should be in soon.
