Grayson is 11 months old!

Grayson is 10 months old!

Grayson is 10 months old today!

He has 3 teeth, LOVES to eat what we are eating, is developing quite the personality and is taking a few independent steps. Our little guy is growing way too fast!

Grayson is 9 months old!

Grayson is 9 months old! 

Our happy little boy is on the GO! He crawls like a champ and has started to walk holding our hands. He's very excited to be starting cheerios and real foods at daycare now that he has his FIRST TOOTH! (FINALLY) Friday morning (August 14) I discovered that his first tooth had popped through. His second bottom tooth and a top tooth will probably be joining the party with in a week or so too.

Grayson and I traveled to my brothers house this weekend to celebrate Eli's second birthday! We had a great weekend! He enjoyed playing in the water table with Eli, walking around chattering with Noah, watching the big kids on the motorized cars and a trip to Zoo America!

Losing track of time

Grayson is 8 months old.... he's on the downhill slope towards being 1 year old, towards being a toddler....

Time is flying by and I feel as though I'm barely hanging on. To the fellow moms out there - how do you enjoy your children each day, but still get anything done around the house? I feel so torn about how to still manage the household, and enjoy every second I can with my son. There is no possible balance to this one is there?

Grayson is 8 months old!

Grayson is 8 months old!

He's almost 22 lbs. (He was 21 lbs 8.5 oz at an appt on 7/6) and around 27 inches tall... it's hard to get an accurate height on such an active little wiggle worm!

He's crawling EVERYWHERE and can pull himself up on just about anything.... lately it's doors and walls. He just palms his way up. He knows to stick his bum out ti sit down but every so often loses his balance and falls. So far no major bruises, but there have been a few that were scary and he needed some extra cuddles.

Still no teeth. We've done some table food, but only things he can completely mash. His little belly isn't quite ready for much yet, so we are taking it slow.

We are so blessed to have this happy and healthy little boy in our lives!

Grayson is 7 months old!

Time is flying by!

Our little guy is 7 months old today!

Over the weekend he put it together on how to crawl AND pull himself up on things, so we now have a mobile one!

He's still thoroughly loving eating 'real' foods but still hasn't had any teeth break through. We are slowly adding more variety to it. So far bananas are his favorite, with sweet potatoes and peas close behind!

We had an appointment in Hershey yesterday to see a Pediatric Allergist. He was tested for a few things (cats, dogs, guinea pigs, select trees, pollens and molds) and all were negative. He does have a mild case of exema so we were guided on how to work with that and given a steroid cream to use on the worst spots. He was such a trooper through the 2 hour drive there, the scratch test and then the 2 hour ride back! Thanks to Auntie Danielle for going with us!

Our precious little guy is 4 months old! Time is flying by. He's just over 17 lbs now at 17 lbs 1.5 oz.  In the 80th or higher percentile across the board. We are teething which has been fun, but we also got the ok for cereal and fruit purees! He's recently gotten very interested in watching us eat so we are happy to start!

Reflections

I'm sitting here next to Grayson in the bassinet, 1 am is nearing.... I'm listening to him breathe. I'm stopping. I'm not rushing him to sleep so I can sleep. I'm not running off to wash bottles or put laundry away. I'm sitting here, listening to his little sighs as he drifts off to baby dream land.... I'm watching as his little hands move as he dozes off. I am sitting here, loving on my son.

I had always imagined how this would feel. I have always wanted to be a mom. I knew that back when I was in grade school. What I didn't know and couldn't have even gotten close to imagining is how it would really feel. I have never been so overwhelmed in my life. Overwhelmed with love, exhaustion, joy, frustration. I had no idea. And there is no way I would have grasped it from others telling me. I had to learn and experience it for myself. Also watching Adam with him. Watching them interact, and learn this parent/child relationship, is amazing. Watching Adam falling in love with his son, just melts my heart.

My world is all about these boys. I don't need anything else in this life but them. They make my life whole and I hope I can always remember that they are what is important. They are what makes me happy. 

Ok- enough reflecting. All this mushy stuff is good and all but sleep is good too. 

Two months old!

Our little man is two months old!

He had his two-month well child visit with the pediatrician this morning. 13 pounds even and 24 inches long. 75th percentile in weight and 85th percentile in height. We survived the shots, but no one was happy about it!

Grayson loves to smile at us, and it just melts my heart. He certainly has us wrapped around his little finger!

8 weeks old!

Time is flying by way too fast! How is he 8 weeks old already?! I've barely left his side in those 8 weeks. I'm trying to enjoy every second as it comes, every smile, every coo, every snuggle and kissing the rare tear away. Most times I get overwhelmed at how amazing it feels and how blessed I am to get to be this amazing little guys mommy. (And other times I'm just overwhelmed!) I'm grateful for every second I get to spend with him. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
